TIC Manufacturing (Bangladesh) Ltd. celebrate Grand Opening at Meghna Industrial Economic Zone
18th February 2019: TIC Group today celebrating the Grand Opening of their own manufacturing unit, TIC Manufacturing (Bangladesh) Ltd. at Meghna Industrial Economic Zone.

Mr. Salman Fazlur Rahman, Private Industry & Investment Adviser to the Honorable Prime Minister, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh grace the program as chief guest. H.E Ms. Julia Niblett, High Commissioner of Australia to Bangladesh, Ms Nihad Kabir, President, MCCI, Ms Rupali Chowdhury, Managing Director, Berger Paints Bangladesh Ltd, Mr. Mostafa Kamal, Chairman & Managing Director, Meghna Group of Industries and Mr. Mark Gandur, Director of TIC Group were present as special guests. Mr.Tanveer Mostafa, Director, MGI and Mr. Taif Bin Yousuf, Executive Director, MGI were also present at the program.

TIC now have a custom designed plant under Meghna Industrial Economic Zone of 14,000 m2 and expect to employ almost 1500 employees. TIC Group, a division of Pact Group Australian (a top 200 public company listed on the ASX) has been operating throughout the world for the past 30 years. Considering Bangladesh as a fast growing and important garment manufacturing country, TIC decided to have their own manufacturing facility with a significant investment of over US$5 million in Bangladesh to supply plastic garment hanger to Bangladesh garment manufacturers for exporting to retailers worldwide. TIC involved with the supply of garment hangers and supply most major Australian retailers as well as a number of major international retailers.

The Director of TIC Group Mr. Mark Gandur presided the program and delivered his welcome address. He mentioned TIC have been operating in 15 location worldwide and supplying plastic garments hanger for world class garments retailers. Mr. Gandur also mentioned that Tic will gradually expand their unit and will increase number of employees up to 5,000 in the plant.

Finally, Mr. Mark Gandur Thanked all the guests and concluded the ceremony followed by tour inside the plant.
